In July, ORN (Online Responsibility Network) officially introduced our Network to attendees at Trust and Safety Professional Association (TSPA)’s TrustCon.
What TrustCon highlighted about the state of online safety
The keynote and session themes highlighted the growing complexity of online harms, AI and regulation, but also the opportunity for organisations to work together to share best practice and raise standards collectively.
Collaboration over compliance
Combined with the valuable conversations that happened away from the formal sessions, Trustcon reinforced something we've believed from the very beginning: building a safer, more responsible internet requires whole-sector collaboration, not just compliance.
Leanne Proctor, Senior Manager and Regulatory Lead for ORN commented “We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and shared their perspective on what the sector needs next. This is exactly the kind of collaboration ORN exists to support - and launching to this audience, in this room, felt like the right place to start.”
