Online Responsibility Day is coming in September 2026

Posted

We’re excited to announce the first Online Responsibility Day will take place this September (24th) and we’d love for you to take part!

Online Responsibility Day is a new annual awareness day, encouraging us all to think about the role we play in creating more respectful online spaces.

🏫 For schools and youth organisations, it’s a chance to shape the digital citizens of the future by exploring what it means to be responsible and respectful online.

👨‍👩‍👧 For adults and parents, it’s a chance to recognise the impact of our online words and actions and ask for the change we’d like to see for each other and the next generation.

🏢 For organisations, it’s a chance to publicly acknowledge customer feedback and demonstrate your commitment to improving their online experiences. Online Responsibility Day gives members of Online Responsibility Network even more legitimate cause to evidence their commitment to online trust and safety.

Building safer platforms is only part of the story, how we use them is our shared responsibility.

On Thursday 24th September 2026, we’re asking one simple question: What kind of online citizens do we choose to be, and how do our actions affect others?

If your organisation would like to take part, or would like more information, visit www.onlineresponsibilityday.com to register.
